OH MY… Loretta Lynch-Bill Clinton Tarmac Meeting Was Planned Via Secret Service, FBI

The IG report had a lot of interesting revelations in it. But one that is just breaking today concerns the infamous Phoenix tarmac meeting between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton.

The IG report reveals that not only was the meeting coordinated but that they knew it would be problematic but went through with it anyway, which suggests that something far more important than banter about golf and grandchildren was involved.

The thirty-minute meeting happened as Hillary Clinton was being investigated by the FBI over her emails and sending and receiving of classified information on her private server. 30,000 of her emails were deleted after they were subpoenaed and her team destroyed their government-issued phones.

From Biz Pac Review:

Page 203 of the IG report suggests that Bill Clinton’s Secret Service detail had contacted Lynch’s FBI detail about their meeting when their planes were on the tarmac:

“The OPA (Office of Public Affairs) Supervisor said that he later learned that former President Clinton’s Secret Service detail had contacted Lynch’s FBI security detail to let them know that the former President wanted to meet with Lynch. Although Lynch’s staff was supposed to receive notice of such 204 requests, witnesses told us that they were not informed of the request from former President Clinton.”

That’s not accidental. That’s a meeting.

Lynch, when questioned about the meeting, said that their meeting was “primarily social” and that it dealt a “great deal” with discussions about their grandchildren. She also said that he talked about playing golf in Phoenix.

So what was the non-social part? She’s never said what that was.

An anchor for ABC News in Alabama, Christopher Sign, also tried to hunt down the question of whether Clinton actually played golf. “Two years later and I have not found a person who can confirm that former President Clinton played golf during that trip to Phoenix.”

And they knew it was a potentially problematic meeting with Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation still under investigation. And yet still went through the meeting. But wanted no record of it.

Furthermore, page 209 of the IG Report suggests that people nearby were instructed not to take any photos of the tarmac meeting: “The OPA Supervisor said that there was a photographer outside, and he recalled telling the photographer that Lynch would not be taking pictures. The OPA Supervisor said that he remembered telling the photographer that he (the photographer) needed to go back in his car.”

And on page 210:

“The Senior Counselor said that when she tried to go back on the plane, she was stopped by the head of Lynch’s security detail, who was at the door of the plane. The Senior Counselor said that she told him that Lynch’s meeting with former President Clinton was not a good idea, and that she needed to get back on the plane, but he still would not let her on.

The Senior Counselor said that she then asked him to convey to Lynch that she was advising that the meeting was a bad idea. According to the Senior Counselor, he told her, “All right, why don’t you tell her yourself,” and finally allowed her to board.”

Because the senior counselor knew how it would be viewed. So why was it so important to them to have the meeting despite all that?

A few days later, FBI Director James Comey then publicly said he would not be recommending prosecution of Hillary Clinton.
