Crime At University Of Kansas Fell After 6 Months Of Campus Carry

Democrats won’t be pleased by the results of the latest statistics coming from the University of Kansas. It has been six months since the campus carry rule took effect on the University of Kansas. The Liberals were convinced that outcome of the rule would be devastating and the crime rate would enormously increase.

But the number of crimes reported on the University of Kansas campus is telling an altogether different story. According to a Friday university police announcement reported by the Lawrence Journal-World, crimes on the campus went down notably from 2016 to 2017.

The reports note that the crime on the Lawrence campus declined 13 percent from 2016 to 2017. In the first six months of allowed concealed guns on campus, there have been no criminal weapons violations.

Despite that, the number of guns on campus undoubtedly increased there have been zero gun violations, a fact which directly destroys Democrats’ argument on gun control.

” ‘Antonia, your advocacy kills more people. There is no way promoting more guns on campus can EVER equal less violence!!’ Yes, unless the people behind those guns are law-abiding citizens. Thank you Kansas for showing the world how #campuscarry is done” tweeted Antonia Okafor, a huge advocate of Second Amendment rights.

In the wake of the deadliest high school shooting in Parkland, Florida, Democrats largely renewed their push for stricter gun controls, believing harsher gun laws would prevent further incidents.

In the recent period, lawmakers struggled to find a resolution aiming to reduce the number of mass shootings. Although most have agreed that no law would have stopped the sick intentions of the 19-years old Nicolas Cruz, Democrats refuse to admit that and are advocating for free-gun society.

On the other hand, Republicans approached the matter with totally different, but reasonable stance, proposing the idea of arming teachers.
